I have learned that each and every piece of cloth embodies the spirit, skill, and personal history of an individual weaver. . . . It ties together with an endless thread the emotional life of my people.”

Le Langage du Trait!
Every collection begins with a sketch. Through line, color, and gesture, I explore the meeting point of fashion, craft, culture, and imagination. These drawings are part study, part story, and part world-building.
I approach design as a form of world-building. Drawing inspiration from art history, traditional craft, mythology, travel, and material culture, I create visual languages that bridge time and place. My work explores the meeting point of heritage and imagination; where a nineteenth-century textile, a Babylonian myth, a Charleston interior, and a futuristic dream might comfortably exist in the same conversation.
